I just found out about the affair.

I haven't been keeping tabs on John Edwards for months.

I saw Elizabeth on the cover of People Magazine today. That was the first I had heard of the affair. Maybe because I don't watch a ton of network news or read the paper. I didn't read the People magazine story. I came up with the worst case scenario as possible for both Elizabeth and John. I walked away in complete disgust.

I read the text of Elizabeth's statement at The Huffington Post.

I think her statement is beautiful. Her words about privacy, refrain from judgment, Tabloid Journalism and love made me instantly relax. Who am I to say that a future Presidents or elected Presidents can't have affairs.

The reality is they do. I can't argue with reality. I do not subscribe to morality that is perfect. However, when I am in a place of peace (and not straight irritation or disgust) I truly believe that when it comes to affairs of the heart no one can know what goes on between two people. I don't have to like it. When I hear people try to explain their love for another person I realize, they don't need to explain anything.

My heart is broken! What else is new? Good Bye John Edwards

Okay.

I'm past the denial phase.

Now I'm just pissed off.

No sense being eloquent about his.

WHO CARES ABOUT ME?!??!?! I live on the WRONG COAST. I think TOO HARD about THE ISSUES...

My pity party isn't lonesome. I know there are others who are just as sick and tired of our CHALLENGING political process. One of my friends on the other side of the aisle said "Well his message just didn't resonate with the voters." I looked at him with my head cocked and in the sweetest words I could come up with said, "No. The voters liked him just fine. He just didn't resonate with corporate media."

Whatever. That friend of mine lost his candidate today also... Only I doubt my friend cried about it.

I've been thinking about Elizabeth. That dear, sweet, brilliant, brave, courageous inspiring woman... She IS STRONG. But I hope she is okay.

I've been thinking about New Orleans. They are strong. But they need our help. They need a government that cares about them. Not a government that out sources compassion and tries to make a buck on disaster relief.

I don't want to vote for anyone else right now. I let my self BELIEVE I would actually get to vote for my candidate in the primary this year... Stupid hope.

Hope always brings me down.

AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGhhhh....

Attorney General John Edwards?

Thom Hartman, KPOJ/Air America Talk show host, mentioned the idea of John Edwards as Attorney General this morning on his program.

I've been thinking about it all day.

What are you thoughts?

This is not a two person race! John Edwards is not going anywhere!

I resent mainstream media for cutting John Edwards out of the picture.

This man speaks to my mind and my heart.

Do you want a symbol of change or real change?

sym·bol (sĭm'bəl) pronunciation
n.
  1. Something that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible. See synonyms at sign.
  2. A printed or written sign used to represent an operation, element, quantity, quality, or relation, as in mathematics or music.
  3. Psychology. An object or image that an individual unconsciously uses to represent repressed thoughts, feelings, or impulses: a phallic symbol.
tr.v., -boled, -bol·ing, -bols.

To symbolize.

[Middle English symbole, creed, from Old French, from Latin symbolum, token, mark, from Greek sumbolon, token for identification (by comparison with a counterpart) : sun-, syn- + ballein, to throw.] - copied and pasted from answers.com

This country is OBSESSED with symbols.

Yellow Ribbon
Dollar Bills
The Flag
Crosses
GREEN
BLUE
RED

You want a woman president because it would be symbolic? A woman president would REPRESENT A CHANGE in our current political system but will Hillary actually change anything?

IF you or someone you care about is going to vote for Hillary Clinton feel free to ask them why. Ask them if they would be satisfied with a symbol instead of the real deal:

Hillary Clinton is a powerful, wise, beautiful woman but she is party to beliefs and actions that do not coincide with my values and NEEDS.

Edwards: Give The Power Back To The People

I do not view John Edwards' response as a "personal attack" on Hillary Clinton. Why are the people in the audience booing?

Without attacking the audience I can only assume that they are Hillary Clinton supporters who veiw anything in the way of a clear DISTINCTION between her and the other candidates as an attack.

Please discuss!
